SUPER FOODS

LOOKING AND FEELING GOOD  FROM THE INSIDE

It's often said that your skin is a reflection of what's going on  inside you.

What we put in our mouths will be mirrored by our skin.

A balanced diet goes along way in keeping us healthy, part of this health being the skin. There are what is known as super foods, foods that are highly nutritious and assist in getting that healthy skin.

As we age there is cellular break down and as a result there is aging. We can at least slow down the process through the diets.
"Its like pimping out a car that never gets serviced", just a thought.

Antioxidants.

Antioxidants could inform of  are vitamins and nutrients.

These range from fruits and vegetables. These could be beta-carotene and vitamins A,C and E.

Omega 3 acids and essential oils.

They can help in reducing the damage on skin by elements like the sun as they protect the skin from the inside.

These foods are all manners of berries, strawberries, blueberries, apples , watermelons and vegetables such as kales, spinach and amaranth.

There are many foods that contain the omega and essential oils. You are not restricted to specific foods as we have a wide range of foods to choose from depending on your preferences.

White meat such as poultry and fish. Fish contains omega-3 acids that are essential for healthy cell growth and repair.

Nuts, peanuts, macadamia,  contain all the essential oils in them that are helpful and not harmful to you.
One could just snack on them instead of reaching for that bag of potato crisps why not reach for some nuts.

Remember people our skin is a mirror of whats inside us...You don't have to spend so much money on products while at the same time  you are not watching out what you put in your mouth.

SKIN

BASIC SKIN CARE

Whenever we see someone with very smooth, clear and flawless skin we are always quick to compliment " your skin looks amazing, Whats the secret?!!"

What we want to know is the products that they use rather than what are the basic skin care tips do they have for us.

Being some one with very problematic skin, dry and some times acne, I have fallen into the habit of asking what products do you use. This is the wrong approach to the situation as every individuals skin needs vary from individual to individual.

I have observed that whenever I follow some simple steps it relieves the severity of my skin break outs.

These are,

1.Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.

2.Washing my skin at least twice a day using a mild face wash.

3.Using a toner after the wash, remember when drying your face it best to leave it to dry on its own if not in a hurry if not just gently dab to dry.

4. The next and very crucial thing is moisturizing your skin. This prevents the skin from being too dry and even premature aging.

5. At least once a week make sure that you use a scrub to get rid of those dead skin cells that make your skin look rough.

There are also moisturizers for use during the day and at night. Remember  when you are buying moisturizes factor in the sunblock.Get moisturizes with SPF 15 and above and if there will be extended time periods outdoors make sure you wear sunscreen, a hat and even some sun glasses.

Remember the skin being the largest organ in our bodies requires a lot of care...

CRAVINGS MIDI SKIRTS

I am currently so in love with midi skirts and wear them every where, from the office, out and about , when hanging with friends etc, every chance I get.

These can be office wear, pencil skirts or even casual midi skirts.

The office wear skirts could be in plain colors such as white, black or even red depending on how you plan to wear an outfit.

One could however play with some stripes,  flowers designs  to add some flavor and edge to the outfit.

I however love the casual look midi skirts as I can play around with some African prints and even fabrics. This brings out the uniqueness of the outfit you are wearing and one can never go wrong.

Thank you for stopping by!!!

PRINTS

Prints

Sunday for most people is the only day they get to stay indoors and just rest.

For me though it's only day of the week that I am not working and this being so I like to get out for lunch or even window shopping.

I am currently so into prints, thus the skirt paired with a simple top so as to bring out the beauty of the skirt.
A simple bag and some glasses for the sun.
For accessories keep them minimal but very fun. The statement necklace makes the look seem more interesting though it's very simple. The hand bracelet is also a plus.
A red lipstick would make the look complete as an amazing finish.

I hope you enjoy the look.

What do you think of the look.
